This one-hour flight usually takes off early in the morning, between 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM, when the skies are clearest and visibility is best. It is ideal for those who cannot trek but still wish to witness the grandeur of the world’s highest peaks up close.
The flight begins from Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu and heads eastward, flying parallel to the Himalayan range. Passengers can view numerous towering peaks, including Langtang, Gauri Shankar, Melungtse, Dorje Lakpa, Cho Oyu, Shisha Pangma, and finally Mt. Everest. Each passenger is guaranteed a window seat to enjoy unobstructed views, and often the cockpit is opened briefly to allow a frontal view of Everest.
