Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Six Friends Trekking. By booking a trip, tour, or service with us, you agree to accept the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a reservation. These Terms and Conditions are a legally binding agreement between you (the “client”) and Six Friends Trekking (“we,” “our,” or “the company”).

1. Booking and Payments

  • A booking is considered confirmed only after we receive a deposit of 30% of the total trip cost.
  • The balance payment must be made upon arrival in Nepal before the trip starts.
  • Payments can be made by bank transfer, credit card, or cash (details provided upon booking).
  • Clients are responsible for any bank or transaction fees.

2. Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • Cancellations must be made in writing (via email).
  • Refunds will be made based on the following schedule:
    • 80% refund if cancellation is received 30 days or more before the trip start date.
    • 50% refund if cancellation is received 15–29 days before the trip start date.
    • No refund if cancellation is received less than 15 days before departure.
  • No refunds will be made for unused services, late arrivals, or early departures.
  • In case of unforeseen circumstances (political unrest, natural disasters, flight cancellations, etc.), we will try to reschedule or adjust the trip, but refunds may not always be possible.

3. Changes to Itinerary

  • Six Friends Trekking reserves the right to modify or cancel the itinerary due to circumstances beyond our control, such as weather conditions, flight delays, road conditions, natural disasters, political instability, or safety concerns.
  • In such cases, we will make every effort to provide suitable alternatives of equal value. Additional costs (if any) arising from itinerary changes are the client’s responsibility.

4. Travel Insurance

  • All clients are strongly advised (and in some trips required) to have comprehensive travel insurance that covers:
    • Medical expenses
    • Emergency helicopter evacuation
    • Trip cancellation/interruption
    • Accidents and injuries
  • Proof of insurance may be requested before the trip begins. Clients are fully responsible for ensuring adequate insurance coverage.

5. Health and Fitness

  • Some of our treks, tours, and adventure activities are physically demanding. Clients should be in good health and physically fit.
  • It is the client’s responsibility to consult a doctor before participating in high-altitude treks, mountaineering, or other challenging trips.
  • Clients must inform us of any pre-existing medical conditions, allergies, or dietary restrictions before the trip.

6. Risk and Responsibility

  • Trekking, mountaineering, adventure sports, and tours in Nepal involve inherent risks, including but not limited to: altitude sickness, accidents, illness, natural disasters, landslides, avalanches, weather changes, flight delays, and road accidents.
  • Six Friends Trekking and its staff will take every precaution to ensure your safety, but the company is not liable for injuries, loss of property, or death arising from circumstances beyond our control.
  • Clients participate in all activities at their own risk and may be asked to sign a liability waiver before certain trips.

7. Client Obligations

  • Clients must comply with local laws, customs, and the guidance of our guides and staff during the trip.
  • Disrespectful behavior, unlawful activity, or actions that endanger others may result in removal from the trip without refund.
  • Clients are responsible for securing valid passports, visas, and permits required for the trip.

8. Passport, Visa, and Permits

  • Clients are responsible for obtaining a valid Nepal entry visa and carrying a passport valid for at least six months beyond the trip completion date.
  • Necessary trekking permits, park fees, and other required documents will be arranged by Six Friends Trekking, unless otherwise specified.

9. Luggage and Personal Belongings

  • Clients are responsible for the safety of their personal belongings.
  • While our staff will assist with luggage during treks and tours, we are not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal items.

10. Use of Images and Media

  • Six Friends Trekking may take photos or videos during trips for promotional purposes. By booking with us, you consent to the use of such media unless you notify us otherwise in writing.

11. Governing Law

  • These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Nepal.
  • Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nepal.

12. Acceptance of Terms

By booking a trip with Six Friends Trekking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
