Changu Narayan Temple is the oldest Hindu temple in the Kathmandu Valley, perched on a hilltop east of Bhaktapur. It was enlisted in the World Heritage list in 1979. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, it houses some of the oldest stone inscriptions in Nepal dating back to the 5th century. Surrounded by forest and villages, it is a peaceful spiritual escape with ancient carvings and sacred aura.
